How Techaven Came to Be
From a conversation between two colleagues to a training company serving hundreds, here's the story so far.
Two colleagues working in IT noticed the same pattern, talented graduates joining the industry without the practical skills their roles demanded. The idea for Techaven was born from that frustration.
Techaven launched its first Ethical Hacking cohort in Harare with 12 students. The feedback was clear: practical training worked. Every student completed a capstone penetration test on a real-world environment.
Word spread fast. Within six months Techaven had added Full Stack Web Development and Systems Audit to the curriculum, tripling enrolment and bringing on its first external instructors.
Techaven crossed 200 trained professionals, launched a corporate training track, and began working directly with organisations to upskill their existing teams. The platform and website followed.
9 courses running in parallel. A growing community of alumni. An IT equipment arm in development. And a clear mission: become the most trusted tech training institution in southern Africa.
